Samsung Announces The AllShare Controlled Smart Washing Machine

Samsung's Smart Washing Machine You know what everyone wants? To be able to play Angry Birds on both their smartphone and on their washing machine while they watch their clothing get washed. Well that’s kind of what Samsung was thinking when they worked on something they are calling the AllShare controlled smart washing machine. Now it might not be able to run Angry Birds but it is a smart internet connected washing machine that works with your smartphone.

Today at Samsung’s CES 2012 keynote they reminded us that they still make washing machines by announcing the WF457 WiFi capable washing machine. Basically all you need to do is purchase the washing machine and have a Samsung smartphone that are on the same home WiFi network and then you can manage your washing machine using your smartphone’s AllShare app. You can set up alerts, change cycles, and even remotely start and stop the washing machine just in case you forgot to turn it off when you left the house.

There are a whole lot of other things you can do with the smart washing machine. The washing machine has a built in 8-inch color LCD display which you can touch to control the washer directly. But you can of course always control it with your smartphone as well if you wanted to. We still don’t know all of the details on this washing machine like when it’s going to arrive, which smartphones can use the AllShare app, and how much this washing machine will cost.

What are your thoughts on this?
