CES 2012 is going on right now and we saw a lot of announcements from Verizon. We saw the release of the Droid RAZR Maxx and the Droid RAZR in Purple. The RAZR Maxx will replace the RAZR’s price point while the RAZR drops down to just $200 instead of $300. We’ve seen this happen to many different LTE phones in the past but it has always seemed to take longer for it to happen.
So the Droid RAZR dropped $100 in cost just two months after it arrived on Verizon’s network and the same thing has happened with the HTC Rezound. It went from $300 to $200 this week making it another extremely good deal if you want a really fast Verizon phone with 4G LTE. This also now makes the Galaxy Nexus the only $300 Android phone on Verizon that launched in 2011, I guess you have to pay a premium for a pure Google phone.
So if you’ve been wanting the HTC Rezound now looks like a great time to pick it up. I guess in another two months this phone might be even cheaper, but who wants to wait another two months. The main reason to go with the HTC Rezound over a phone like the Galaxy Nexus or the Droid RAZR is for Beats Audio and HTC Sense.
