8GB Nook Tablet Is Now Available At $200, Nook Color Now Costs $170

Nook TabletOne popular question is if an eReader or a tablet is the best option for a specific purpose. We’re talking about more tablet-like eReaders like the Nook Tablet or Kindle Fire when we ask that question since really a Kindle Fire is very similar to a tablet like the iPad in many ways. The biggest difference between an eReader and a tablet has to be the cost, eReaders tend to cost about half the price of a tablet which is a great deal if you don’t need all that a tablet has to offer.

So you’ve decided you want to get an eReader. Now you need to find out if the Kindle Fire is better or if a Nook Color or a Nook Tablet is better. Before you decide you should probably note that today Barnes & Noble announced a new version of the Nook Tablet. The new version will have only 8GB of storage inside along with only 512MB of RAM which is half of what the $250 Nook Tablet has. But the 8GB Nook Tablet only costs $200 which is a pretty great deal.

The 8GB Nook Tablet replaces the Nook Color’s $200 price point meaning if you are really on a budget you’ll be able to pick up the older Nook Color which is still a great e-reader for just $170.
