Images Of Apple’s Slightly Redesigned iPad 3 With 8-Megapixel Camera Leak

iPad 3The Apple iPad 3 is still somewhere around a couple weeks away from being announced but Apple seems to be ready. We’ve seen tons of images showing different parts of the possible iPad 3. Today we managed to get some more pictures showing off the slightly redesigned back of the iPad 3 very clearly.

The images look to be fairly realistic, they might still be fake but they do go along nicely with what has been rumored in the past. So even if these are just edited iPad 2 images they still show what the iPad 3 might look like when it arrives some time probably in March. You can see that overall the design is almost identical to the iPad 2. But if you look closely you’ll see that the camera is just a little bit bigger, the rotation lock switch has changed a little bit, and the curves on the sides of the iPad 3 are just slightly more gradual.

So very slight changes as far as the design goes. But internally the iPad 3 should be a fairly big step up from the iPad 2. We’re looking at a possible dual core Apple A6 chip with much faster graphics. The iPad 3 will also have a new high resolution Retina Display which supports resolutions of up to twice the iPad 2′s current resolution.

What are your thoughts on this?

I’m leaning towards the same 8MP camera found in the iPhone 4S. I think the main focus of the iPad 3 will be graphics meaning better GPU to work with the better display, and better cameras. It will be great for photographers wanting to shoot and edit pictures.
