Motorola Droid 4 May Be Headed To Verizon On February 9th For $200

Motorola Droid 4Just a few years ago the BlackBerry was a very popular smartphone. Most people liked having the keyboard and all of a sudden Apple launched the iPhone without a keyboard. Some liked the idea of getting rid of a keyboard and just using an on screen keyboard, others didn’t really like that idea. But Motorola announced something to compete with that iPhone and the BlackBerry and that was the Motorola Droid which was a phone with both a large touchscreen and a slide out keyboard.

Over the years the original Droid form factor became less and less popular as more and more people got used to the idea of a large touchscreen as the keyboard. But the original Droid’s style is still around with the Motorola Droid 4 which was announced at CES 2012 for Verizon’s network. Although Verizon didn’t give out any details on the price of the smartphone or even a possible release date.

We still don’t know much about the price or the release date but there are some reports from sources like Droid-Life that suggest the Motorola Droid 4 will arrive later next week on February 9th. And when it comes to the price we’re looking at a $200 smartphone  on a two year contract which is a pretty good deal for a brand new somewhat high end 4G LTE smartphone.
